Partner meeting 12-13 march 2021

 On March 12 and 13, 2021, the second partnership meeting of the project was held. The date, agenda and time of the meeting were agreed by all members of the project team. KRIB Haskovo sent an official invitation to the Lead Partner for the partnership meeting.
On behalf of KRIB Haskovo the meeting was attended by: Mr. Stefan Dimitrov - Chairman of the KRIB Haskovo Association, Ms. Mariana Valcheva - Project Coordinator, Ms. Anna Angelova - Project Accountant. On behalf of the Meric Agricultural Chamber, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Murat Turkiyelmaz - Project Manager, Burcu Ozer - Project Assistant, Serdar Ozer - Project Assistant, Hussein Turkkan - President of the Meric Agricultural Chamber.
On the first day of the partnership meeting - March 12, the representatives of the Chamber of Agriculture were introduced to the laboratory equipment purchased under the project by KRIB Haskovo. The equipment is used to help farmers from the cross-border region to determine the condition and needs of their soil. After that, the meeting continued with the presentation of the developed study on the condition of soils and soil resources in the Haskovo region.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to the next activities to be implemented by the project partners during the current quarter - Activities 7 and 8. These activities are training of government officials, farmers, businesses, civil society for the environment.
KRIB Haskovo will conduct the training on March 23-26 with the participation of 25 farmers from the region. A university lecturer will be hired for the training in Environment and Ecology.
The Chamber of Agriculture is unable to organize the training now due to Covid-19 restrictions imposed in Turkey.
