Training Environment and Ecology

Within the project "Save Nature to save the Future", CB005.2.12.112, contract № RD-02-29-252 / 04.10.19, funded by the Interreg-IPA Program for cross-border cooperation Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020 , co-financed by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance II of the European Union, training will be conducted on the topic: "Environment and Ecology". It is aimed at farmers in Haskovo district, in order to raise environmental awareness, develop sustainable agriculture and waste management of farmers.
The training will include the following aspects of the environment: "Atmosphere - air quality, sources of air pollution and the consequences of pollution", "Fight against pollution"; "Water - water use and needs, water pollution problems, environmental prospects, water treatment and hazardous waste treatment"; "Solid waste management and soil pollution"; "Soil characteristics and protective measures against soil contamination". Sustainable agriculture will also be involved in training. The aim of sustainable agriculture is to meet society's current needs for food and textiles without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable agriculture practitioners seek to integrate three main goals into their work: a healthy environment; economic profitability and social and economic justice.
Everyone involved in the food system - producers, food processors, distributors, retailers, consumers and waste managers - can play a role in ensuring a sustainable agricultural system. There are many practices used by people working in the fields of sustainable agriculture and food systems. Growers can use methods to promote soil health, minimize water use and reduce pollution levels on the farm.
The training on "Environment and Ecology" will be held in the city of Dimitrovgrad, KBS Hall, 3 Himkombinatska Str., from March 23 to 26, 2021. The training will be led by qualified university professors.
Please confirm your wish to participate by March 21, 2021 on tel. 0391 65 200, or by e-mail: [email protected]!
Attached you will find the training program, as well as a request for participation.
